Finding Our Way Forward
The world we live in has changed considerably over the past few years.
In many ways it has been for good, such as faster and easier communication across the globe and advances in science and medicine.
Sometimes the changes have not been easy, as the greater pressures on public and private finances and the raft of seemingly constant requirements to save money have forced us to adapt our working practices.
We are all affected in one way or another and sometimes the pressures of working in a particular environment or profession can become overwhelming. This leads us into looking at what changes we can make as individuals to ease the pressures on both our working life and our home life to make our situation less stressful and give us a greater home-life balance.
This has affected me along with millions of other people and I know that I am not alone in looking for ways to make changes in my everyday life. I have spent a great deal of time learning and growing and although I still have a great deal to learn, I have so many experiences, both good and not so good, that I feel can be usefully shared.
I am currently working in education, though this is not my first career. I want to share the knowledge I have brought with me from previous employment and self-employment. I love helping and supporting learning, a role which reciprocates though the personal development and encouragement we can all receive when we are open to each other.
So I have revived this blog to pass on that knowledge, to learn from others and to help us all to achieve the greater balance we are looking for in our own lives.
I hope that you will join me on this journey together. I look forward to getting to know you.
