Profit Pulling Project Newsletter Issue 2

Well it has arrived…

Garry Parkes has published the second edition of his Profit Pulling Newsletter and once again he (and his fellow contributors) have come up trumps. Check out his post about it at http://garryparkes.com/profit-pulling-project/profit-pulling-project-issue-2-live/

The great thing about this newsletter is that it is pulling together so much of the wealth of information that has been passed between all the students on Alex Jeffreys’ mentoring programme.

When I left a comment on Garry’s blog about this latest offering I said that I felt it was like having a multi- course banquet every day because there is so much in the way of great information and helpful suggestions and I just feel that I cannot take it in all at once.

But the great thing about this is that I know that I can go over to Garry’s site and he has not only these newsletters which distill the information for both newbies and experienced marketers in a helpful format, but also many useful resources.

In this issue there is information about getting onto your website through your cpanel, getting your email and uploading files.

Coleen Cook has written the first of a series of articles about ‘How to write Copy that will sell every time’. This first part is: Using an “Ad Campaign Measurement Sheet” to Measure your Success and suggests a way in which you can keep a record of how well your advertising is doing. A useful way of both making and saving money.

Bobby Winchell has written an article on Google Adwords: A Clever Testing Strategy which will help you when testing out a new campaign or niche to avoid the ‘Google slap’.

Gary Simpson aka ‘Gazz-Man’ writes in his usual no-nonsense style about not being an ‘excusiologist’. He is very forthright about the importance of getting on and doing something; about not wasting time. His outspoken style is excellent when it comes to getting you doing something and not making excuses.

Gary has an excellent style and I enjoy interacting on his blog with both him and other Alex Jeffreys’ students. I have also learnt a great deal from him and others on his site so do have a look at his blog by clicking on the link on the right of this post. He has some information that he will be bringing to us shortly through some special outside talent. I am really looking forward to that.

If you don’t want to be an excusiologist and want to move forward in your own journey to being a successful online marketer then you need to read this newletter and also the first issue that was published a couple of weeks ago. You can also sign up for future issues so do go to http://garryparkes.com/.

You owe it to yourself and your future.

Well written Hilary – ESPECIALLY the bit about (ahem)… you-know-who! LOL!

Seriously, a great piece of informative prose. It points all over the place with help! Fantastic. This is EXACTLY the sort of post that people find helpful. There are too many excellent points in it for me to slather you in praise, so let’s do something interesting – let’s see how many people can identify all the subtle nuances and not-so-subtle (eg Gazz-Man style sledge-hammer) techniques you have either consciously or sub-consciously left here like little dems and nuggets.

Hils, my goodness, WHERE on EARTH are you learning this stuff?

I did see your mention of a banquet over at Parkesy’s blog. Very apt. I thought the same.

Heh… heh… heh… Congratulations also on being the first one to make any comment about the “outside TALENT” mentioned over on Gary-Land. I am STILL negotiating on that but this talent does not come any bigger or any better. It won’t be free but it will be spectacular! You will all be in total AWE of this person. I am! Does that tell you anything?

Well done here Hils. You are booming. I’m loving it (even if you hadn’t said nice things about me – LOL!)

PS: Just watch your link embedment. That can be done through your dashboard. If you’re not sure just come back to me and ask.

Ooh just wrote replies to everyone and they disappeared where have they gone?

    Oh well here goes again!

    Gary

Thanks for your comments – I like to write positive things, even if it is constructive criticism as I think that is important.

Where did I learn this stuff?

Well years of reading as much as possible, an English degree, teaching Communication etc so a mixture of practice and osmosis I guess.

Looking forward to your outside talent – I’ve learnt to trust your judgement so I am certain it will be worth it.

Any help with the link embedment will be appreciated – I’m still having problems with it. This is partly what I was asking about on your blog a few days ago.

    Ken

Thanks. I try to get the right balance – I teach ‘read and summarise’ skills to my students and I know how difficult they find it, so I try to practice it myself

    Jonathan

Welcome to Hils’ place and to the fun of blog (or oil rig) hopping. There is so much to be learnt from reading other blogs. TEAM work is so important – something else I teach my students.

    Hilary,

Great post. I too really liked Garry’s newsletter. I downloaded it and devoured it in what seemed like minutes. Can’t wait for the next. I liked it so much I had to drop what I was doing and write a post over at my place about it.

Between Gary and Garry, what a great duo. Instead of the dynamic duo they should be called the “Internet Duo”. Between Garry’s newest video and Gazz-man’s new Ferrari (his new blog) all I can say is WOW what talent.

I also wanted to thank you for the kind words and feedback on my very first internet video. I wanted to let you know that I put up and updated one. I took everyone’s feedback and I hope did a better job this time. I still am not 100% satisfied. for example: after putting it up I found a mis-spelled word. That will be changed tomorrow.

Once again Thanks for everything. I really like coming over and reading what you have to say. It is always interesting and informative. Keep it up.. I need more reading material 🙂

    Have a great evening

    Hi Thom

Thanks for your comments – I do try to make my posts and comments interesting so that others will want to read them. I also use them to remind myself of what I have done and where I have been on this journey.

I will try to get some more reading material onto here soon, but I have the slightly pressing matter of Tax Returns to complete, so may be a little quiet here for a day or two until they are done. I don’t want to get fined for not doing them!
